Bob needs a set of tires for his vehicle and of course he wants the best deal he can get. He shops around some, but he hears so many different stories that he has no idea who to believe. He gives up and buys the cheapest set he can find. A few days later he notices a vibration as he drives.
Now Bob has to waste time he doesn’t have to go back and have the tires checked out. The tire store balances the tires again and Bob leaves. The vibration is still there. He makes another trip to the dealer only to be told they don’t feel the problem. In desperation Bob decides to he will just live with the vibration.
A few months later Bob hears a clunking noise from the front of the vehicle. Back to the tire store again, now they tell him he needs a set of struts. After replacing the front struts and strut mounts the noise is gone but the vibration is still there. Six-months later he notices fluid leaking from under his vehicle. This time the rack and pinion is leaking.
Bob has spent over $1800.00 for repairs and his car rides badly and rattles. He decides it’s time to trade for a new car. Now Bob spends $30,000 for a new car.
Bob does not understand that vibrations can quickly destroy parts. A tire that is not perfectly round can result in a vibration when it rolls. The suspension tries to absorb the vibration but the constant vibration can destroy parts over time.
At Diedrick’s we know preventing problems is far less expensive than repairing them. Two-hundred dollars saved on a cheap set of tires can turn into a $2000.00 repair or worse. This is the reason we do not sell cheap tires.
Out of Round Tires
- Will vibrate, even when properly balanced
- Will wear quickly and give a poor ride
- Cost more than good quality tires
- May damage suspension parts
We know the overall lowest cost always comes from preventing problems. We sell quality tires, properly mounted and properly balanced. Let us show you why a quality tire is by far the least expensive to use.
